“A lot of people want to get married, but they do not have enough fund for this,” Obioha noted on Tuesday at a press conference where the deal was unveiled in Lagos. “We feel that shouldn’t be a problem. We believe we can make it happen. That is why we are collaborating with Tina Trust, which is ready to come in without demanding any tough collateral.”
She says the package, which accommodates entertainment, wedding dress, photography, among others items, targets a reception of 300 guests at N3m. Fina Trust’s Managing Director, Mr. Deji Popoola, commended Enthyst for inspiring the idea, which he described as being great. He said, “Young men and ladies dream wildly about marriage, because of its importance to man. But many do not have the means. Even if you have all the money, planning is a challenge. So, it is great that Enthyst has come up with this idea.”
Popoola said a primary factor the bank will consider is whether or not an applicant has a sustainable income, while the loan would be spread across three months or a year, depending on what all the parties agree on. “If you are a student and you want to wed, and you tell us that you will be employed in an oil company when you graduate, we tell you to wait till that happens first,” he added.
