He recently called on his fans to boycott Louis Vuitton after being snubbed by the firm's vice-president Yves Carcelle. However, someone clearly didn't get the memo as Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's staff were spotted loading the couple's luggage into a car in New York on Tuesday and a LV tote bag and suitcase were among the belongings. It is unclear if the luggage belongs to Kanye or his fiancé but after the rapper's outburst against the brand, it is surprising the two items weren't immediately banished. Revealing why he was so upset with the label, Kanye, 36, told 92.3 NOW radio, recently: 'I was made for this moment. What happened was while I was out in Paris I wanted to meet with the head of Louis Vuitton, he said I don't understand why we need to meet with you. 'I said, "Let me explain to you why you need to meet with me." 'Everybody in New York City right now don't buy any Louis Vuitton until after January. 'Now do you want to meet with me? Now do you want to meet with me? Influence. They think that I don't realise my power.' Kanye is hoping his clout will stop fans splashing out on the French brand's luggage and handbags, which range in price from £300 and £8,000.
But he clearly needs to look a bit closer to home first. Kanye and Kim, 33, have been in New York with their baby daughter North as he performed on his Yeezus tour and were spotted leaving Kanye's apartment on Tuesday.
West was dressed in one of his trademark outfits, a baggy grey sweater and leather pants. Kim stepped out with baby North wearing a practical outfit of jeans and a high necked shirt. Of course, this being Kim, these were no baggy oversized mom jeans.
Instead her slimmed down post-baby physique was on show in clinging white jeans, while she wore a long sleeved grey T-shirt with an inverted blue triangle. While the outfit was highly practical, Kim made no concessions when it came to her bag and shoes. The fashion lover carried a small grey ostrich leather bag with a gold chain strap - hardly suitable for stuffing with nappies. But despite this one small factor, it's clear Kim is taking to motherhood. The reality star was certainly a hands on mother as she prepared to leave New York. Pushing North in a $940 Orbit stroller, Kim covered her precious bundle under a white blanket before carefully loading her into the waiting car.
