"WE'RE IN DEEP DOO DOO" says Former Vice President Dick Cheney on North Korea's Kim Jong Un's Threat

Former Vice president Dick Cheney sent a warning to lawmakers about the alarming North Korea threat. “We’re in deep doo doo,” Cheney told lawmakers, according to CNN, quoting a GOP leadership aide. North Korea’s diminutive dictator-in-training Kim Jong Un promised to test fire missiles off the coast of North Korea. The missile launching are set for today.

Cheney, 72, who underwent a heart transplant in 2012, spent 10 minutes in a meeting with Republican leaders. He described Jung Un, 29, as an “unpredictable” young man who doesn’t share the United States worldview. “Here’s a young guy we don’t know very much about – have very little intel on him, so we just need to make sure that we don’t assume why he’s doing what he’s doing because he could be doing what he’s doing for any number of reasons,” Southerland recalled Cheney saying.

Meanwhile the U.S. is taking no chances. Missile defense systems have been moved into place in South Korea and Guam, where the U.S. maintains a military installation. Pentagon has also boosted floating military hardware in the South Pacific to shoot down missiles out of the sky if necessary.

CNN reports that South Korea, China and Japan are on edge amid warnings that NKorea could fire off missiles at any point.

U.S. Intelligence suggests that North Korea may be planning “multiple missile launches,” according to CNN.
