Following Monday's explosions in Boston, President Obama addressed the nation of the horrific acts that are suspected as possible acts of terrorism.
But though it is being suspected as terrorism by many, the President did his best to reassure the nation with his eloquent words, stating:
"Earlier today I was briefed by my Homeland security team about the events in Boston. Increase security around the U.S. as necessary and investigate as necessary. Michelle and I send our deepest thoughts and prayers to the victims. We don’t yet have all the answers. I’ve spoken to the FBI director… they are mobilizing the appropriate resources. We are Americans united and concerned for our fellow citizens. They have every single federal resource necessary. All Americans stand with the people of Boston. It’s a reminder that so many Americans serve and sacrifice on our behalf every day. We still do not know who did this or why and people shouldn’t jump to conclusions before we have all the facts. But make no mistake, we will find out who did this. Any responsible groups will find the full weight of justice. It’s a day that draws the world to Boston streets in the spirit of friendly competition. I’m supremely confident Bostonians will come together. We can anticipate that as we get information, our teams will give briefings. We will find out who did this and we will hold them accountable."
