'I'm 50lbs down today!' Kim Kardashian 'so excited' to reveal dramatic post-baby weight on Jay Leno

Dressed in sheer white lace, her underwear proudly - and deliberately - on display, it was clear Kim Kardashian was feeling her best. And as the new mother unveiled the stunning results of her post-baby diet and exercise regime, it soon became clear just how happy she was to have lost her baby weight. 'Actually I got on the scale today and it said that I am 50lbs down. That made me so excited,' she said, as she made her big reveal on Jay Leno on Wednesday night. The 33-year-old said gaining weight while pregnant with daughter North was not easy. 'I can honestly say it was the greatest challenge of my life,' she said. And she confirmed reports she lost the weight on the Atkins Diet, adding 'it worked for me'. Kim also revealed she chose the diet after it was previously successful when both she and her late father Rob tried it when she was a college student. Kim said the 'ridiculous' criticism she received for putting on the weight while pregnant was incredibly painful.  'It really hurt my soul,' said the reality star. 'It changed how I am in public. I've tried to live more of a private life.'

Kanye West claims Kim Kardashian is more influential than the First Lady

As Kanye West statements go, it's probably one of his most absurd. 

The lovestruck rapper talked up fiancee Kim Kardashian in a new interview in which he claimed the reality star is more influential in terms of style than the First Lady Of The United States Michelle Obama. He told Ryan Seacrest: 'There's no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue. 'She's like the most intriguing woman right now. She's got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday,' he said.

And bizarrely he claimed the reason Kim was more influential that Michelle Obama, was because the First Lady could not share a bikini pic like Kim's recent bottom-baring pose in a white swimsuit. 'No one is looking at what [Barack Obama] is wearing. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a [bikini] pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day.' On that point he is right, as we've never seen the First Lady's bottom in a selfie. While Michelle Obama will clearly not want to take on that challenge, it seems Kanye is still fuming at Kim being persistently overlooked by his friend Anna Wintour for a Vogue covershoot.

Beautiful actress Kerry Washington is reportedly pregnant with her first child, and she's of course expecting the bundle of joy with her husband of four months - NFL Nnamdi Asomugha. A very straightforward narrative compared to those we see her fast-talking, hard hitting show protagonist - who is in love with the President of the United States - embroiled in. The 36-year-old, who has become an ABC favourite for her portrayal of the pout-faced fixer, is 'about four months along' according to Us Magazine. She might be good at keeping secrets - rather like Pope - but unlike her covert wedding, the baby rumour has been bubbling under the surface of the celebrity scene for weeks.This is mainly due to the seemingly telltale move of hiding her incredible figure in baggier clothing for recent events and appearances. 

According to Us, Kerry hasn't made the news known publicly on the Scandal set but is reported to be sipping on tea and protein shakes to keep morning sickness at bay. 

This will be the first child for the Emmy-nominated actress, who married her beau on June 24 in Hailey, Idaho. Washington, who was previously engaged to actor David Moscow, started dating the San Francisco 49ers cornerback in the summer of 2012.

Their wedding came without any media fanfare.The Django Unchained actress told Glamour said she had 'learned through experience' that talking about her personal life just 'doesn't work' for her. 'I've had earlier times in my career when I did talk about it,' she explained. 'But I couldn't just turn around and say, "I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff." So I just thought, "Okay, no more.'"

Abdulfatah Ahmed, Governor of Kwara State sacks all Commissioners, Advisers & Assistants

 

Today Wednesday 23rd October 2013, the Governor of Kwara state Abdulfatah Ahmed terminated the appointments of the State Executive Council. News Agency of Nigeria reports that all Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, have been relieved of their duties. Isiaka Gold, the Secretary to the state government, announced the news at the end of the State Executive Council meeting,; stating it is with immediate effect. Abdulfatah Ahmed isn’t alone when it comes to terminating the appointments of his cabinet. Exactly a month ago, on the 23rd of September the Governor of Oyo state Abiola Ajimobi sacked the secretary to the state government, chief of staff as well as all the commissioners and special advisers.

Presenting the Spring/Summer collection lookbook for Nigerian design label Wana Sambo – “Naked”. The design label premiered the collection at the 2012 Lagos Fashion; Design Week and now as they prepare to unveil their SS14 collection, here’s the lookbook for the Naked collection.
According to the design label:
The collection is a cross between vintage work wear;and modern daywear borrowing its influence from the 90s. I imagined what the love child of a Kurt Cobain and Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s music would be like if it were clothing.The title, “Naked” is a juxtaposition based on the reality of these two men’s lives. Naturally, Fela was almost always near naked and Kurt Cobain, who most speculates died loveless; committed suicide. Looking at the depth of the reality of their lives, I came to a conclusion that they both were naked. According to the dictionary, one of the various definitions of the word ‘Naked’ means ‘without clothes or protection’. Fela was more the former and Kurt the latter. The WS SS13 collection is a struggle for the placement of an identity on these two legendary musician’s love child. I used a lot of reds, blacks, off-whites, peach, gold and abstract fabric patterns, textures and colors. I also played with the idea of being both legends personal stylist and transferring their creativity, art and personality unto their female offspring, whose first name would be ‘Naked’ and last name, ‘Kuti-Cobain’.

They're engaged! Kanye West proposes to Kim Kardashian on her birthday

He allegedly told girlfriend Kim Kardashian at his concert in Seattle on Saturday that he planned to marry her 'one day.' But it appears Kanye West couldn't wait any longer to make their relationship official. The 36-year-old rapper proposed to the reality star on her 33rd birthday on Monday by renting out the entire AT&T Park baseball stadium in San Francisco, popping the question in front of their family and friends, reports E!. Kanye was in Los Angeles earlier in the day at the Hollywood Film Awards, and it was therefore unclear whether he planned to spend Kim's birthday with her. She was allegedly seen boarding a private jet that afternoon with her family in Los Angeles. Kanye flew in from San Francisco Monday to present director Steve McQueen with a special honor award at the ceremony, and it appears he must have flown back to the Bay Area city straight afterwards to see the mother of his child. Their upcoming nuptials with be Kim's third marriage, and Kanye's first.

Kim K shares SECOND picture of baby girl North West

It has been well over a month since the very first picture of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's baby girl North West emerged. But the 32-year-old reality star has now shared a second snap of her adorable daughter with the world on Instagram. And judging by the heart-melting image, North appears to have grown quite a bit in the past few weeks. The tiny tot is seen swaddled up tight in a baby blanket and resting on a very expensive-looking fluffy white rug.  Her eyes are looking up in the image and she has grown many, many strands of dark hair on her head. 

With her chubby little cheeks and big brown eyes, little North is looking like the perfect combination of both her mother and father.

In an accompanying caption, Kim, who has been in Paris for the last few days with Kanye wrote: 'I missed waking up with my little angel.' On Tuesday night, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was seen arriving back in Los Angeles following her trip to France for Paris Fashion Week. She no doubt jetted straight home to get baby North from the clutches of her momager Kris Jenner, who had supposedly been helping out on baby sitting duties.

It had been reported that Kim warned her family not to share photos of her daughter while she was away. Kim is said to have left North - who she calls 'Nori' - in the care of her mother, Kris, and sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, while she attended PFW with her boyfriend.

“Yes. They are most unhappy if the engagement is not arranged by them. In our case it’s worse—you are not even an Ibo.”

A Mother of 7 in her 40s is PREGNANT with 13 BABIES

Remember how crazy it was when we found out Octomom was expecting eight babies and we wondered what in the heck it felt like to be pregnant with that many fetuses? Yeah, well an Iraqi mom knows how she felt, because she's reportedly pregnant with 13 babies.

An Iraqi woman in her early 40s is pregnant with 13 infants although she has already delivered seven including twins since she married 24 years ago.
Her husband Fadhil Al Azawi, a farmer from the central Iraqi province of Salahuddin, said medical tests and images showed his wife has 13 fetuses in her uterus although she has not been pregnant for the previous five years.
He said he married another woman in 2012 after his wife failed to get pregnant in the previous five years, adding that he is now both elated and worried.
“I am very happy about my wife’s new pregnancy but at the same time I am worried about how to look after her to preserve this heavenly gift,” he said.
“The news that my wife is pregnant with 13 infants was a big surprise to me and I am now trying to arrange special care for her as her delivery will perhaps allow me to become the world’s only father of such a big number of twins.”

Dooney’s Kitchen: The Ofe Owerri Controversy

First, I will like to give a big shout out to Chef Fregz, for his post on The Saks Fifth Avenue Pantry. I was reading through and grinning like a Cheshire cat, because I had all the ingredients he mentioned. I felt like an Upper East Side cook that day. His post gave me the push I needed to use the saffron lounging in my cupboard for Paella Valenciana, which I loved, loved, loved. As for the lobster in the freezer, errrr, I am still saving it for a special occasion. Thanks Chef Fregz. Another big shout out to Olamide Craig for my profile picture. Good job bros. It was a pleasure working with you for one day.

Today, I am going to be stirring up a food controversy. Why is it a controversy? Well, people can’t seem to decide what ingredients go into it. With most Nigerian dishes I have come across, the ingredients are somewhat standard. Irrespective of whom you ask, or what recipe you use, the ingredients are universal, methods may differ though. Not the same with this amazing dish called Ofe Owerri.
