Dana Airline's Operating License Restored Again

Just two days after the Federal Government suspended the Air Operators Certificate of Dana Air grounding all flight operations, its license has again been restored.
In a statement signed by the Special Adviser (Media) to the Minister of AviationJoe Obi, he said that officials of the Ministry and those of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) met with officials of the airline and deliberated on safety issues and Dana’s operations.
According to the statement, one of Dana’s aircraft had a snag which led to the temporary suspension for safety reasons.
“At the end of the meeting, the suspension of operations of the airline which took effect last Saturday was lifted. The airline is to resume normal operations immediately. However, the particular aircraft which had a snag over the weekend is to remain grounded until after its airworthiness has been re-certified by Boeing, the manufacturer of the aircraft,” ThisDay quotes him as saying.
